From Marlton, New Jersey, Sam began his musical career
on the Bass Guitar. In 1969, he played bass for recording artist "Billy Harner" who had two big hits: "Sally Saying Something" and
"Homicide
Dresser".
After studying music theory, he became a keyboard player
and lead vocalist and played the club circuit in various bands, and
was also a member of "Ocean". In 1979, he went to play in an original
band "Stranger" who were semi-finalists in WMMR's Breakout Competition.
Sam is heavily influenced by Chicago, the Beach Boys, and the Beatles.
He also writes his own music.

Guitarist and singer Jesse Boyington from
South Jersey, who's influences are the Beatles, Santana, Eagles,
and the Allman Brothers, to mention
a few, has been performing in various bands in the Tri-State
area for the last 26 years. From Southern rock bands, to wedding
bands, to casinos, to solo work, Jesse's done them all. One of
Jesse's most successful full-time working bands was "Ocean".
In the early 80's, Ocean played just about every club in the
Tri-State area including the Jersey Shore.
It was at the Jersey
Shore that Jesse first started doing his tribute to the late
John Lennon, and he's been doing it ever since. "Everywhere
we play, someone comes up to me and tells me that I sound like
Lennon.
I take that as a great compliment. When I was first teaching
myself to sing, I'd try to imitate him, but honestly, now it
just comes out that way. You know, if it weren't for the Beatles,
who knows what I'd have done."
Jesse is the curator of the "Band in a Box";
that is, he creates the computer MIDI sequencing for the duo. The sequences are
very authentic sounding and project the feeling of a live band. "Editing
and writing MIDI files is quite addictive, and I spend a lot of my spare time
working
on them. Technology is a wonderful thing. Some people think that it's like karaoke,
or that somehow we're faking it because it sounds so good, but we're not. We're
still playing our parts exactly the same, whether we play them with a computer
or with a ten-piece band behind us, it's just accompaniment."
